Gnathology on a basic level means 'getting the bite right'. There is a connection between how your teeth meet and how your jaw works. Dentistry is a branch of medicine and deals with the teeth and supporting tissues whereas gnathology is a specialty of dentistry that concentrates on the entire gnathic system and the whole patient.
